Focus for Presentation:
The Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) publishes each year several reports, Edtech Next. This presentation will highlight the February 2017 report on “Digital Tools for Problem-based Learning.” The presentation will highlight:
- Studio A, the K-12 model used by the Avonworth School District near Pittsburgh that combines Human-Centered Design with Project-based Learning and Arts Integration;
- “Impact Projects” from The Incubator School in California combining PBL with Entrepreneurial focus;
- “One to the World” projects from Loudon County in Virginia combining PBL with Global focus;
- “Critical Thinking” project from Houston School District with focus on Energy Institute High School;
- Examples of software tools that are used by schools around the globe.
