2017 CoSN Conference: Digital Tools for PBL

Focus for Presentation:

The Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) publishes each year several reports, Edtech Next. This presentation will highlight the February 2017 report on “Digital Tools for Problem-based Learning.” The presentation will highlight:

  • Studio A, the K-12 model used by the Avonworth School District near Pittsburgh that combines Human-Centered Design with Project-based Learning and Arts Integration;
  • “Impact Projects” from The Incubator School in California combining PBL with Entrepreneurial focus;
  • “One to the World” projects from Loudon County in Virginia combining PBL with Global focus;
  • “Critical Thinking” project from Houston School District with focus on Energy Institute High School;
  • Examples of software tools that are used by schools around the globe.
