The Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) publishes each year several 8-14 page reports, EdtechNext. This presentation will highlight the March 2019 report on “Scaling and Sustaining Innovation.” In the presentation Norton Gusky, a co-chair of the CoSN Emerging Technologies Committee, will highlight from the report:
- the underlying structure based on the CoSN K-12 Driving Innovation report;
- underlying issues from Chris Dede and Tom Vander Ark as well as a framework for Innovation from Chris Dede;
- examples of schools using innovative practices as part of consortia or collaborative partnerships – Bristol Warren (Rhode Island), New Castle (Pennsylvania), Belmont-Cragin (Illinois);
- examples of organizations promoting innovation – LEAP Innovations, Schools that Can, Digital Promise;
- advice for District Leaders.
The presentation will also highlight some next steps including:
- CoSN’s forthcoming EdtechNext report on “Data-Driven Practices;”
- Remake Learning Days;
- HundrED project: a Global Showcase of Educational Innovation.
